Who We Are

Partners for Progressive Development (PPD) is a Kenyan-led non-governmental organization dedicated to forging pathways out of poverty and inequality. Established on January 23, 2018, PPDEA is registered with the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Services as a National NGO. We believe that lasting change is not delivered from the outside but built from within. Our mission is to collaborate with grassroots communities as partners, not beneficiaries, to co-create solutions that are both impactful and enduring.

Our Integrated Pillars

We address interconnected challenges through a holistic framework where our three core pillars reinforce each other:

🌿 Ecology

We work to restore and protect vital ecosystems, promote climate-smart agriculture, and champion sustainable resource management. We believe a healthy environment is the non-negotiable foundation for community resilience and prosperity.

🏥 Medicine

We bridge gaps in healthcare access by supporting community health workers, strengthening local health systems, and advancing preventive care and health education. Our goal is to build communities where everyone can thrive in good health.

📚 Education

We unlock human potential by enhancing the quality of education, supporting teacher training, and creating youth empowerment programs focused on practical skills and leadership. We invest in the minds that will build tomorrow.

Our Approach: The PPD Difference

🤝 Community-Led Design

Every initiative begins with deep listening. We facilitate community dialogue to ensure projects reflect local wisdom, needs, and aspirations.

🔗 Partnership for Scale

We connect the grassroots to the national and global. By partnering with government bodies, research institutions, and strategic donors, we help scale local innovations into broader policy and practice.

📊 Evidence and Impact

We commit to rigorous monitoring and evaluation. Our data-driven approach ensures accountability, demonstrates measurable change, and allows us to continuously learn and adapt.
